About Me
Hi I'm Gayle, and I'm the Owner and Lead Designer of Sweet Jasmine Floral Design.
I attended SUNY New Paltz and got my bachelors In Public Relations, but decided I wanted a more hands on trade oriented field.
I started my floral journey in 2022 when I decided to invest in myself and commute to NYC to complete a six-week floral design program.
I then moved from NY down to St. Augustine FL where I have been continuing to learn grow and execute high end weddings every week.
In less than a year I knew I'd found the right field. Unboxing all the flowers as they come In Is just as exciting every week, and seeing the excitement and happiness even simple arrangements bring to our friends and clients Is the best part of the job.
The Story Behind the Teapot...
When creating my company, the name was the most difficult part to come up with. It only has to be a few simple, If not otherwise random words, but It was a difficult choice. After many trials of different combinations, I landed on Sweet Jasmine. Not only was the historical meanings behind the flower perfect, Jasmine green tea Is one of my favorites. I've been a tea fanatic my whole life, now having It play a role in the name & logo of my business adds that final personal touch. I have a thrifted teapot I like to use as a vase when I'm playing with leftover flowers. It only felt natural to Incorporate the floral teapot aspect Into the design of the logo, as well as a nod to my days In theatre where one of my favorite roles was Chip the teacup.
